Matthew Schuler is best known as a top 6 contestant on season 5 of NBC’s Emmy award-winning competition reality series, The Voice. During Schuler’s blind audition he broke the record for the fastest 4-chair turn in The Voice history, which led him to join team Christina Aguilera. His rendition of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” on the show hit #1 on the iTunes Charts, #40 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States and #38 in the Canadian Hot 100.
Matthew was born just outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Pastors Donald and Dawn Schuler. He grew up singing in his parents' church. He started a band and joined various exclusive choirs before starring in theatrical productions in high school.
Since The Voice, Matthew has had the privilege of working alongside the likes of Shaggy, Mike Posner, and Diana Ross in multiple countries such as Jamaica, Germany, and South Africa and at colleges and festivals across the United States. In 2018 Matthew released his Debut EP, Baby Steps.
